Street Works Course

Whether you’re upskilling your current workforce for a new project, or looking to provide compulsory training for new employees, we can deliver first class training to suit your needs.

All our courses are accredited by the appropriate industry governing bodies and schemes including CITB, CISRS, NPORS, ITSSAR, OCR and JAUPT.

It covers a range of skills from those who need to safeguard their work by signing lighting and guarding to carrying out excavation and re-instatement work This qualification provides routes to re-registration on the SWQR.

Training can be provided before assessment, but is not compulsory.

Successful completion of the NRSWA Training course will result in you gaining a City & Guild or CABWI (location dependent) certificate.

You will receive a certificate for each unit, as well as a Street Works Card. The following NRSWA (New Roads & Street Works Assessments) units are covered: Please note: not all units are completed at each centre, so please call 3B Training Advisor for details.

We also offer scheduled courses for unit 002/010 Signing, Lighting and Guarding for those only requiring this part of the qualification and New Roads & Street Works Reassessment courses and exams for those needing to requalify.

The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 places a duty on any person or organisation undertaking work involving the installation, renewal, maintenance or inspection ofunderground apparatus in any street or roadto ensure that work is under the control of competent persons.

This qualification will reassess your knowledge and confidence, so that you can continue to carry out works in the highway safely.

This qualification has been developed to reassess your skills and knowledge in carrying out and monitoring work involving the installation, renewal, maintenance and inspection of underground apparatus in the highway.
