Trout movement and water temperatures in Indian Stream and the Upper Connecticut River were monitored during 20 field seasons.
The objectives of my research were to: 1) Quantify trout movement in the Connecticut River near the confluence of Indian Stream, 2) Determine if there is a correlation between trout movement patterns with season, water temperature, and compare these values between rivers, 3) Identify thermal refugia in Indian Stream, and 4) Recommend management actions for Indian Stream and the Upper Connecticut River below Murphy Dam.
