This means learning something beyond what is actually written or shown.

Imagine your source is Magna Carta, an important document from the year 1215: ‘The source tells us that the king would no longer levy taxes without “the common counsel of our kingdom”.’ If you followed up like this, you aren’t doing any more than understanding the words in the source itself: ‘The source tells us that the king would no longer levy taxes without “the common counsel of our kingdom”.

An essay/piece of coursework is a daunting and, too often, lonely undertaking. Teachers don’t always have the time to give the consistent guidance required to navigate the construction of a complex piece of coursework (and most exam boards won’t allow any direct teacher assistance to the student for externally examined coursework, anyway).

Students and teachers across the world don't always have the time to create the learning resources necessary for the successful learning of topics and skills; the Coursework Club constantly updates learning resources for anyone to access, so that students and educators may take advantage of this and enjoy peace of mind.

The skills we will develop together will allow you to a) attain high level academic writing skills across a number of subjects, b) achieve success in your History courses, and c) arrive at university with a fuller set of academic writing skills than the average student.

If you are reading this, then you have already taken the first step towards building better History essays and coursework.

Source questions are often the aspect of A-Level History that students find most difficult, but can also be one of the most exciting aspects of the course.

Every source provides a window into the ideas, emotions, and thought processes of past human beings.

We all have degrees, teaching qualifications and, in many cases, Masters and Doctorates.(See the About Us section for further details) The Coursework Club is primarily, though not exclusively, for pre-university students studying – that guides you through the history coursework/essay ‘construction’ process.

The course has been created so that you, the student, can more easily understand the various essential stages of the writing process.
