S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues is a university platform for research, teaching, and high-level dialogue among American and Chinese leaders from the public sector, business, and the academy that addresses common challenges facing the global community. S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues hosted a two-day research meeting on “Culture and the Common Good,” convened by Dr.

Becky Yang Hsu of Georgetown’s Department of Sociology and Teresa Kuan of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Eleven Georgetown graduate students took the unique opportunity this summer to get a glimpse of China’s economic future during a 10-day study tour.

S.-China Student Fellows Program aims to promote student-to-student dialogue among U. and Chinese university students around critical global issues. Over the course of an academic year, fellows participate in dialogue through in-person meetings, a web-based platform, and networking opportunities.

The program features a cohort of ten to twelve young leaders, selected from top U. Fellows will receive a ,500 stipend and travel and accommodations to attend the Washington, D. and Beijing meetings, where they will have opportunities to meet with leading scholars, senior officials and business leaders.

Today's rapid changes have made countries more interdependent than ever before, shrinking the world into a global village.

As the world grows smaller, events in any one area have a greater impact on other parts of the world.

They are also required to provide at least four short essays/blogs for publication on the Initiative’s website between September 2019 and July 2020. and Chinese citizens who will be enrolled full-time in undergraduate programs at U. and Chinese colleges and universities during the 2019-2020 academic year.
