In particular, I propose that the well-recognized problem of the incompatibility between Aristotle’s concept of spontaneity and his theory of spontaneous generation presents an opportunity for insight into his scientific methodology when approaching ill-understood phenomena.

Their ideas and teachings have influenced the development of the Western philosophy during all its history.

The followers (slaves) do not have the negative connotations we associate with that in the modern world -- they simply have a different focus and set of gifts to contribute to society.

Plato goes much further in hypothesizing that the majority in a society should be followers with a few strong and wise leaders to guide them.
